Cada um dos filmes desta série retrata a vida e a obra de uma africana ou africano implicado na história e no desenvolvimento social, político e cultural do país onde nasceu. “Eu Sou África” revela dez heróis desconhecidos do grande público e desfaz os lugares comuns depreciativos da realidade dos PALOP. Na diversidade das suas experiências e reflexões, o que estes dez africanos dão a ver é a emergência de uma nova África de língua portuguesa – um lugar em que a esperança tem toda a razão de ser.»

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability- Africa’s Climate Change adaptation project

ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability- Africa’s Climate Change adaptation project has launched a competition for its "Five City Network Project" funded by DFID and IDRC through the CCAA programme to win some adaptation SEED funding.

The Five City Network pioneers climate adaptation through participation, research and local action. The five cities are Walvis Bay, Namibia; Cape Town, South Africa; Maputo, Mozambique; Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and Port Louis, Mauritius.

PROMAPUTO - II

O Conselho Municipal de Maputo, lançou hoje, na capital moçambicana, a segunda fase do Programa de Desenvolvimento Municipal de Maputo (PROMAPUTO II), um projecto avaliado em 105 milhões de dólares. Trata-se de um programa de cinco anos (2011-2015), financiado pelo Banco Mundial, Governo moçambicano e Conselho Municipal, com uma comparticipação individual de 50 milhões e 15 milhões e 40 milhões de dólares respectivamente.
